What is the background behind AnteFame and what do we want to build with you?
Here’s the story: When I was working at TopGear, I met Julien Abelli who had just given up his career as a professional driver to build full motion hydraulic simulators for racing.
I was so impressed with the quality of his build that I had the whole TopGear team come to France to interview him (and try the simulator).

Over the years, Julien developed his project, I left the BBC’s TopGear to become an advisor to the Royal Foundation (to advise on global campaigns on behalf of Prince William and Kate in areas such as mental health or wildlife protection) and I kept a close relationship with Julien.
After setting up a simulator company, Julien went into talent management, i.e. spotting kids in karting and setting up a complete environment to help them achieve their dream of going to F1, WEC or Indy Car, etc.
We always discussed how we could help them finance their careers because, as you know, motorsport is expensive. We tried several things and in 2020, we started to look closely at NFTs (actually, my personal experience with crypto-currencies started in 2010, during the Mt. Gox era…).
In 2021, we decided to build a prototype platform, for what is now known as AnteFame, based on Flow (dapperlabs).
This has generated a lot of interest in the motorsport world and has allowed us to secure the top teams and drivers in the singler seater an FIA WEC categories fairly quickly, as well as other partners that I will reveal in due course. ….
The basis of the AnteFame (the antechamber of fame) concept is really to help everyone achieve their dreams by showing the world how hard they aim and work to get there.
In the realm of motorsports, it’s a fantasy style game, where you create a team and select 5 drivers across disciplines (not just F1). This requires you to have the eye of a scout and that’s where the game turns to you.
This is your chance to become a top scout and benefit from the hard work and performance of these drivers in real life, as they impact your team’s score each week at the Grand Prix.
On top of that, we thought it would be really cool if you could become your own driver on your own team by racing against others in an eSports league.
That’s how we decided to create the first hybrid Fantasy eSport NFT league for motorsports in the world! Backed by the top teams and drivers in motorsports : We are so grateful that these professional teams and superstar drivers are now supporting this project and we can’t wait to see you all participate and shape it.
